CCVC FrankenJAM Halloween Benefit

Saturday, October 31, 2020

11AM-MIDNIGHT

It’s October and there are plenty of frights about. So, let’s make sure we don’t have another by saving Sacramento’s live entertainment venues from certain death with this new, terrifying event!

Introducing The CCVC FrankenJAM Halloween Benefit! On All Hallows’ Eve, the Harlow’s parking lot, patio and our stages will be transformed for a safe, fun event to benefit the CCVC and the local music and arts community.

When we say safe, we mean safe. The only ones afraid of our precautions will be anti-maskers!

Artist Market

11AM-3PM (FREE)

The event will kick off at 11AM with what we’ve dubbed the Sacramento Musician’s and Artist’s Bazaar. We will transform our parking lot into an artist market where you’ll be able to buy music, merch, and wares from your favorite local bands and artists. Nash & Proper will be the food truck on site!

We’ll also open up our back patio as a 21+ beer garden, decorated to the spooky nines, so you’ll be able to relax and enjoy a cold one in the crisp, fall air. And it wouldn’t be an event at Harlow’s be without some live music being provided to you by a number of local musicians!

Livestream Concert
5PM-9:30PM (RSVP Required)

Virtual event

We will then transition into our livestream event that’ll start at 5PM sharp!  Five bands will take over the Harlow’s and Starlet Room stages to play to a crowd consisting of ghosts, ghouls and empty space all while you watch from the safety of inside your home (just make sure to keep those doors locked).

The Brothers Comatose,The Gold Souls, Joe Craven and the Sometimers, Hayez, Band of Coyotes, Green Eyed Misfits, and a number of comedians  have decided to give their time to provide you all with rad tunes, spooky visuals, and some haunting laughs to soundtrack your quarantined Halloween festivities all hosted by the one and only Jay Siren!

This livestream is a part of our full-day Halloween benefit and is the only portion that will not be able to be experienced in person, but what a perfect day for you to experience these performances…in spirit.

We have decided to make the livestream up for pay what you want with all proceeds directly going to the artists performing and to the CCVC, who is working to help save Sacramento’s independent live entertainment venues from being given up for sacrifice. Just make sure to get your ticket so we can send you the streaming link.

So, get your fangs in, your glass of red wine ready, and strap in for a night of some of the most horrific/fantastic musical talent around!

Film Screening

10PM-MIDNIGHT (TICKETED)

Once the bands are done playing to their crowds of none, we will transform our parking lot into your newest spot for movie screenings!

We’ve partnered with our friends at the Crest Theater to bring you a screening of a horror classic under the stars. No need to worry about the sound as your ticket will come with headphones for you to enjoy the frights while staying safe!

This event has been a long time coming and we are so excited to be able to put on something for the community that can alleviate all of us a little while we continue to navigate through the pandemic.

Safety will be our absolute highest priority, so get that mask on and get your sanitizer handy to come out and be a part of all the fun!

Safety Guidelines

The California Capitol Venue Coalition takes the COVID-19 pandemic incredibly seriously. Our industry and livelihoods will likely be on hold until we are able to widely distribute a vaccine and to get to that point, every member of our community must work together. We would not be hosting any part of this event if we were not entirely confident that we could do so safely and with minimal risk. Producing and operating safe events is what we do, even under extenuating circumstances. In order for this event to happen in a safe way, we are relying on participants to strictly adhere to the guidelines we have in place and will have a zero tolerance policy for violations of these guidelines.

In addition to working with official guidelines that are in place in our city for restaurants, farmers markets, gyms, and film production, we have collaborated with performing arts and live entertainment leaders across the country to create an event that is compliant with the most up to date safety standards.
